Human beings like success but they hate successful people”, said Scott Thompson, the famous American standup comedian. Another variant of this,“organisations like creativity but they hate creative people”, may often be heard in the corner rooms. Every organisation today seems to be talking about creativity and innovation, at the same time practitioners report managers sharing horror stories about managing creative people (Levitt, 2002; Torr, 2011). Such horror stories get magnified when one comes across research studies (Kwang, 2001) which conclude “nice” people are not creative, and creative people are not “nice.”
