Abstract

This journal edition emerges from ‘Computer Gaming across Cultures’, a trilateral project funded by the British Council under its United Kingdom-India Education and Research Initiative (UKIERI) scheme. This project started in 2012 and ended in 2014 with West Virginia University (WVU) in Morgantown, United States; Bangor University in Wales (United Kingdom); and Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in New Delhi, India as project members. Each team consisted of a cohort of graduate students led by a faculty member. One of the major activities involved a conference hosted by each project partner. At each conference, team members presented research on various topics related to the project theme, some of which have been developed into the articles in this journal edition.
