

Aditya Deshbandhu has a doctoral and masters’ degree in communication from the Sarojini Naidu School of Arts & Communication, University of Hyderabad. His academic interests predominantly lie in the field of new media studies and the emerging field of game studies; his doctoral dissertation was titled “Digital Play in Everyday Life: The Ludic Practices of Indian Gamers.”
Dr. Deshbandhu has a forthcoming book with Routledge (an imprint of Taylor and Francis) on Gaming Culture in India, later this year. His teaching experience includes courses on Media Management, Media Economics and Digital Culture.
