I am trained as an economist, and currently working as Assistant Professor in the area of economics. I have a Ph.D. degree in development studies from Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research, Mumbai.
My research interests include labour economics, urban and regional economics, development and public economics. My current work focuses on labour mobility- commuting and migration, spatial nature of economic development, and urbanization in the Indian context. Apart from this, I have interest in strategic and theoretical aspects of capital mobility, and role of state and political competition.
My teaching interests include microeconomics, applied econometrics, economic geography, labour economics and industrial economics.
